Roe v Wade: The Texas Abortion Case

On the 39th anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision, Martha Burk interviews Sarah Weddington about the history and future of this landmark case and some of her other successes. Ms. Weddington, as a recently minted young lawyer, successfully argued one of history’s most ground-breaking cases before the US Supreme Court – twice – with a definitive win in 1973. Ms. Weddington went on to a career as a state legislator and other political posts. She died December 26th, 2021, as a more right-wing version of the court may be planning to overturn that decision.
