BESS WALLERSTEIN & KELLY MAIN-Show Delivered; In mid-March 2020 live performances came to a halt as COVID-19 swept the country. Through many weeks and months of conversations with artists, it was clear this was going to last longer than anyone hoped.

Partners and theatre artists Kelly Main and Bess Wallerstein Huff connected to discuss how they could help support their community of performing artists while simultaneously adapting live shows in a safe way for audiences. The idea for Show Delivered came together – if you’re getting your groceries delivered, or celebrating milestones with yard signs, why can’t performances be delivered? Good news, we think they can.

Show Delivered showcases high quality performances from the artists that shape the culture of our community. We’re encouraging you to log-off and connect, heal, celebrate and be entertained as only a live performance can provide.
Average pricing for shows range from $175 – $425 and up.

We can customize performances too! Don’t see something you want, let us know – we’re happy to create a show just for you.
Live performances must occur within 25 miles of the Greater Kansas City Metro area. If outside that area, a mileage fee will apply.
It’s like delivery from your favorite restaurant without the heartburn, or calories!

DANNY POWELL is co-founder and President of the Heartland Song Network. He has served on many non-profits and his music past has included past co-owner of the artist management company Tom’s Town Media, Past President of the Kansas City Blues Society and a manager of the Michael Shannon Musician’s Fund. He is a member of the Folk Alliance International, the Americana Music Association and Playing for Change. He is an avid harmonica player and his passion is to discover and hear the next great song.
The Heartland Song Network (“HSN”) is a Kansas 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation launched in March 2020. HSN’s mission is to elevate the art of the song, regardless of genre, through education, collaboration and mentorship.

The idea for the Network was born in January 2020 at the Folk Alliance International Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, a group of like-minded people from a variety of backgrounds began meeting informally to articulate a vision for a sustainable music ecosystem that could reach all levels of musicianship and experience, regardless of genre. HSN Members are afforded unique opportunities in education, collaboration, and performance that promote and support a career in the arts for artists in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
In its first year, HSN executed a number of successful fundraising, collaborative songwriting, and industry webinar events. It was selected by Folk Alliance International to curate and present the Kansas City Showcase for Folk Unlocked: Connection, Discovery, Inspiration, February 22nd-25th, 2021.
Mission-Empowering the creation of the song through education, collaboration and mentorship.

Outreach and Events
Heartland Songlist Collaborations
The Heartland Songlist promotes collaboration and mentorship, pairing two Heartland Song Network members of varying genres and musical experience and challenging them to write and record an original piece of music. Songs are submitted and added to our playlists to be shared online, on our social media pages, and during 90.1 FM KKFI’s Local Showcase.
Industry Webinars
Our webinars invite industry experts from around the country to present their expertise, and engage in a conversation to provide education, experience, and inspiration for our members based in the Heartland.
Artists of the Month
Each month, a Heartland Song Network member demonstrating excellence in musicianship is selected to be featured on our website and social media pages. The Heartland is rich and diverse with musical talent and we aim to share these musicians with our network.
Industry Spotlight
Heartland Song Network spotlights non-musician members who are an integral part of the Heartland music ecosystem such as recording engineers, venue owners, archivists, record company executives, and promoters. The goal is to raise awareness of the scope, employment and career path possibilities of the Heartland music industry and to facilitate connections that benefit our members and supporters.
Live Stream Concerts
Our live stream concerts showcase the talent of our members and entertain our community of songwriters and song lovers. Often intended as fundraisers to help support the Heartland Song Network and other organizations that serve artists in the Heartland, these concerts are free and streamed live on various platforms.
