Host Diana Linn has been preparing for the upcoming 2023 Folk Alliance International Conference for months and will be representing KKFI throughout the conference as an observer, reporter, podcaster, fan and showcase presenter!
The Folk Alliance International Conference, presented by Folk Alliance International February 1 – 5, 2023 in Kansas City, is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community (crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Global Roots, Hip-Hop, Old-Time, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, Traditional, Zydeco, and various fusions).
The theme of the 2023 Folk Alliance International Conference is Facing the Future: Sustainability in Folk Music.
This week’s show will highlight the music of the artists scheduled to appear next Friday, February 3, 2023 live in the studio as part of the Folk Alliance Takeover of the Tasty Brew Music Radio Show! Music from Australia, the UK, the US, the Iberian Peninsula, South America and beyond! Also in this week’s mix new music from newly discovered artists like Danielle Ponder and favorites from legacy greats like Bob Dylan.
