Emily Brown, Public Relations Coordinator, Mid-Continent Libray-Saturday, September 15, the Mid-Continent Libray will host a fundraising event at the Woodneath Library Center to support the Story Center, which helps people create and share their stories. The event, called An Evening Beneath the Woods, will feature live music and entertainment (including a performance by Quixotic Cirque Nouveau!), food and drinks from local chefs, and silent and live auctions. The event is part of a larger fundraising effort to restore the historic home on the Woodneath Library Center’s property and turn it into the home of The Story Center. It will also become the home offices of the National Storytelling Network.
