My guest today is Rita Smith. Rita is the Senior Adviser for the National Football League on their efforts to end violence against women, and is Executive Vice President of External Relations for domesticshelters.org.

We will dive into the big conversations about the normalization of violence in culture including images, music, verbiage, and “othering” as a means to issue power and control over historically marginalized people. I can’t wait to dive into this conversation, as Rita believes that advocacy and social change are intricately connected and cannot be done separately.
