The Tasty Brew
“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
It will be a huge difference weather wise visiting New Orleans in January this year versus Montreal in February 2019. Host Diana Linn welcomes Kelly Dougherty from Folk Alliance International’s corporate HQ here in Kansas City to present a snapshot of the international, indigenous and American artists that will present official showcases at this year’s Conference in NOLA. Kansas City’s own Kelly Hunt and Stas’ Heaney’s Album “Even the Sparrow” has been nominated for Album of the Year! Also live in the studio this week….Mike Paget of Green Guitar Folk House Concert Series. This month’s offering includes Kansas City’s Country Duo (KKFI’s own Kasey Rausch and Marco Pascolini) opening for folk duo Gaines & Wagoner. This week is a very Tasty Brew indeed!
