Giulia Millanta and Folk Alliance Rewind Continues on The Tasty Brew

Host Diana Linn welcomes Italian born, Austin based singer-songwriter, Giulia Millanta to the KKFI airwaves.  Giulia recently attended and performed at the 2024 Folk Alliance International (“FAI”) Conference held in Kansas City and is in town to perform at a special private event Friday Night, March 8.  Giulia plays baritone guitar, ukulele and sings in four languages (English, Italian, Spanish and French). She has been described by Michael Greenblatt on The Aquarian Weekly as being “deeply evocative with a dash of Piaf, a sprinkle of Lady Day, a pinch of Norah Jones and a teaspoon of Madeleine Peyroux.”[1] “She has been called smart, eclectic, adventurous and cool, and credited with psychedelic grooveability whilst ‘baring her clairvoyant soul’ to ‘deliver musical mojo'”.[2] She has released six solo albums to date and regularly tours throughout the US and Europe.

Also on this week’s playlist are new favorite discoveries from the recent FAI conference and new releases and legacy cuts from the best in Americana/Roots Music!
