“Israeli Forces Keep Killing Americans”

Alice Speri, a journalist for The Intercept, discusses her recent reporting on the U.S. government’s failure to demand accountability for the death of its citizens at the hands of Israeli soldiers. In her article “No Path to Justice: Israeli Forces Keep Killing Americans while U.S. Officials  Give Them a Pass,” she looks at parallels between the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the killingin 2003 of U.S. peace activist Rachel Corrie whose family continues to battle for accountability for her death. Speri reports on censorship by Big Tech of Palestinian voices and the wave of anti-BDS laws passing state legislatures that penalize Americans who seek to boycott, sanction or divest from Israeli companies supporting the Occupation of Palestinian land. Many of these laws can be traced back to a quasi-governmental body Israel has created.
