“The Tasty Brew” is an eclectic mix of roots music formed by the shared and varied traditions that make up the American musical melting pot.
Tasty Brew Music Radio Host Diana Linn welcomes back her musical friend Joy Zimmerman, to share the release of Joy’s latest offering “Where the Light Lives.” Radio colleague Bob McWiliams, Host of Trail Mix on Kansas Public Radio, has this to say about her newest work. “Joy Zimmerman’s follow up to her very fine 2021 album, The Canvas Before Us, is an even better representation of her considerable singing, songwriting, and violin playing skills. If I had to choose one adjective to describe this album, it would be “uplifting.” Even when dealing with difficult topics, Joy finds a way to an affirming, positive place.”
Joy will be headlining her CD Release Show at Green Guitar Folk House Concert Series on Saturday, August 5 at 7 pm. She will be joined by Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Victor & Penny, Ryan Dugan, Andrew Stinson, Christine Broxterman and perhaps some surprise additions!
Also planned will be an eclectic mix of genres… Americana, Country, Bluegrass, Roots Music and more… as you have come to expect on the Tasty Brew Music Radio Show 10 am until Noon each Friday on YOUR community radio station!
