LET’S COOL DOWN AN OVERHEATED PLANET

On our show for September 4th, host Terri Wilke speaks with Margaret and Thad Kramar, owners of Hidden Hollow Farm, a local organic food producer.  Both are environmental activists.  Not only do they talk the talk, but they walk the talk and are glad to share their knowledge with others who want to walk on a less impacted planet.

The topic for today’s show is plastic bag ordinance.  Listeners, both consumers and retailers, might be wondering how to live without using plastic bags to carry purchases?   On EcoRadio KC, we want to educate and advocate for a more equitable, eco-friendly, and resilient lifestyle. Environmentally friendly decisions to “reduce, reuse and recycle” can help us all save money, time and resources so that we can enjoy life more fully.

You can not only shop and buy what you like, you will learn ways that end shoppers’ remorse about the damage of those ubiquitous plastic bags. Everyone understands that single use plastics are detrimental because our streams and landscapes are littered with them.  Research has indicated that the majority of people support plastic bag bans.  Whether you live in an area that has enacted a single use plastic bag ban or not, you can quit using trash to carry your goods.

We at EcoRadio KC are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future!

This will be a great radio hour!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can about the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
