Tuwani woman’s story of the village women organizing to get electricity

Keifah Addera tells her story from Tuwani, how she helped organize the women in Tuwani to realize some amazing accomplishments: sending young women to university and bringing electricity to the village. Tuwani is one of many small villages in Masafer Yatta where olive growers and sheep herders have been beseiged by violent attacks by settlers while living under military rule for 55 years.  Since May, Israel has stepped up demolitions of homes in the area; Israel’s plan to expel villagers would be the biggest mass expulsion of Palestinians since the Six-Day war.
This is a story of sumud,
resistance and steadfastness against violence by the military and by the illegal settlers.
