Nan Turner’s new EP is called For Champs and Losers, Version 2. Chase the Horseman’s new EP is called Disinformation Blues.

At 10:15 Jade Osborne shares details about her KC Fringe production “The Shift Show” running July 19 through July 27 at Union Station in the H&R Block City Stage, at 30 W. Pershing Road, KCMO. Jade Osborne has performed nationally and internationally as a solo artist and with Voler – Thieves of Flight Performance Ensemble. She is a Non-Profit Arts Facilitator; International Performance Artist & Workshop Leader; Capoeira Beribazu Professora; AcroYoga Montreal & AcroFitness Instructor; Voler Aerial Acrobatics Instructor; Shamanic Yoga Instructor; and NEA & U.S. Dept. of Ed Grant Recipient.

At 10:35 Mark talks with Chris Hudson & Chad Brothers about their 2019 album, “Premonition Scenes” that came together a year ago when the two were recording Chris’s original solo songs in Chad’s home studio. They decided to combine forces with their dual guitar work around Chris’s vocals. Chad Brothers plays in the bands Old Sound, Shapiro Brothers, and Super Massive Blackholes. Guitarist, singer songwriter, musician and visual artist, Chris Hudson is also a teacher through Kansas City Young Audiences. At 11:00 Mark talks with The Moose and Nathan Reusch of The Record Machine. The Moose is an alternative band from Lee’s Summit, formed in 2016 by Jake Hilger, Alex Huffman, and Tyler Frey with Emma Klein and Parker Tozier joining in 2016. The Moose released their debut full length album, The First Real Encounter, on December 21, 2018. What’s Next KC, is Saturday, July 13, at 6:00 PM at Legacy Park Amphitheater, 901 NE Bluestem Dr, Lee’s Summit, MO. This is a free, all ages, family friendly event featuring live performances by: NublvckCity, The Moose, and Blue False Indigo. There will be concessions available and a BBQ Food Truck. At 11:30 Joel Bonner and his Serene Fiend live bandmates Sam Piper & Daniel Glascock join us to share the radio broadcast debut of Serene Fiend’s flagship single, “Unto Myself” from the upcoming Serene Fiend album “Elegies and Effigies“. Serene Fiend is an industrial rock artist from Lawrence, KS that blends pop and glam sensibility with nuances of the various movements within the industrial subgenre. All of Serene Fiend’s music is composed, produced, and recorded by Joel Bonner. Serene Fiend plays Lawrence Field Day Fest 2019, hosted by I Heart Local Music, on Thursday, July 18 through Saturday, July 20, at The Granada Theater, Lucia Beer Garden + Grill, The Bottleneck, and White Schoolhouse with free and “all ages” shows for the entire festival.
