Radkey + Music from the 14th Annual Crossroads Music Fest with Guest Co-Host Bill Sundahl

Wednesday MidDay Medley features music from bands participating in the KKFI’s 14th annual Crossroads Music Fest, presented Lead Bank, on Saturday, September 8, featuring 37 bands, on 8 stages, 15 hours of music programming, all within 3 blocks in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts & Music District. Mark spins tracks from: Katy Guillen and The Girls, Hembree, Radkey, Sauce, Eems, Grand Marquis, Summer Osborne, Brandon Phillips and The Condition, Hi-Lux, Instant Karma, Cubanisms, and The Vogts Sisters. We’ll also play music from Calvin Arsenia and Krystle Warren.

At 11:00 Isaiah, Dee, & Solomon Radke of the critical acclaimed band Radkey join us live in our 90.1 FM studios. Radkey plays Crossroads Music Fest, September 8 at 11:45 PM, at recordBar, with Quixotic Performers. Radkey was formed in 2010 in St. Joseph, Missouri where the brothers were raised. The family moved to Kansas City several years ago. The band has released two full-length recordings, “Dark Black Makeup” in 2015 and “Delicious Rock Noise” in 2016, plus two EPs and several new singles, and were recently part of a MasterCard advertising campaign on digital billboards in New York City that brought them to the attention of Jack White who asked the band to toured with him. After CMF Radkey goes on the road throughout the United States and will play shows in Amsterdam and Stockholm in early 2019.

Bill Sundahl, 90.1 FM KKFI’s Development Director joins Mark as co-host for the entire show to share details about participating artists, venues, and special features of the 14th Annual Crossroads Music Fest including the Midwest Music Foundation Free Musicians’ Health Care Clinic, at Lead Bank, 1801 Main with Check ups, Referrals, Hearing, and Mammograms. CMF also presents MixMaster Music Conference – Musicians Professional Development Seminar at The Exchange at Lead Bank, 1801 Main, 4th floor. Both events happen from 11:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
