At 10:30 Mark talks with Luke Harbur about his upcoming show, Ope! A Play & Cabaret, May 20, 21, and 22 at Westport Bowery, 817 Westport Rd., Kansas City, MO 64111 (located right behind Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill). Show times are Friday and Saturday nights at 6:00, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1:00. The show started out as a joke between Luke “Skippy” Harbur and Arthur Clifford, two of the shows featured performers. As Covid-19 affected the lives of millions of workers in the entertainment and restaurant industry, the show symbolizes the rising demand of live entertainment and restaurants once more. At 11:00 Shaun Crowley of Manor Records joins us to talk about Manor Fest 4, a fundraising local music festival that consists of two weekends, one in Lawrence & one in Kansas City featuring 54 bands across 16 stages. It will now function as a fundraiser event to help us raise funds for our mission of releasing local artists’ music on physical platforms through our “Manor Records Fund”.
