GET IN GOOD TROUBLE, NECESSARY TROUBLE, HELP REDEEM THE SOUL OF AMERICA

Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality.  We hope you will listen.

For our show on February 12th, host Terri Wilke will be speaking her guest about the Uhuru Movement.  On Jaws of Justice, April 10th, 2023, we spoke with Akile Anai, Director of the Department of Agitation and Propaganda of the African People’s Socialist Party (APSP).

The Uhuru Movement is an American-based socialist and African internationalist movement founded in 1972 and led by the APSP. At the time of our interview, the APSP had just been denied their motion to dismiss charges against them made after the FBI raided the Uhuru House in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Four Americans and three Russians were charged with conspiring to covertly sow discord in U.S. society, spread Russian propaganda, and interfere illegally in U.S. elections. Indictments are now anticipated to occur at any time.  In the meantime, the Uhuru Movement Convention in St. Louis, MO on March 9th and 10th of 2024.  This Convention is open to all persons interested in the mission of the Uhuru Movement, i.e., uniting African people as one people for liberation, social justice, self-reliance and economic development.

During the other half of our program, host Macy Jones will speak with Milik Mikal Shabazz.  Milik has created Street Life, an organization with the goal of filling the gaps between living in prison and living in our social order. Prison is where Macy and Mikal met. Milik Mikal Shabazz and Macy Jones will discuss Black History from a Layman’s Perspective.

On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society.  Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
