GIVE YOUR BODY THE GOOD STUFF

EcoRadio KC recorded a panel discussion, Perennial Agriculture with The Land Institute, on Oct. 14, 2023 at the Lawrence Public Library.  Kernza is a perennial wheat grain showing promise as a viable food crop that requires less tillage.

Staff of The Land Institute presented on local and global research in perennial agriculture.  We open our recording of the panel with Amy June Breesman, Land Relations Specialist, who then introduced Laura Kemp, Perennial Agriculture Project, Field Station Manager, followed by Sajal Sthapit, Postdoctoral Researcher, Kernza®, Intermediate Wheatgrass all at The Land Institute.  They and other panelists present on local and global research in perennial agriculture, featuring the latest on Kernza® perennial grain and more.

EcoRadio KC supports the work of the Land Institute for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. Achieving this future requires reconciling the human economy with nature’s economy, and we believe focusing on food and how we produce it is a transformative first step. In this future, agriculture regenerates the soil, water, and air upon which all life depends.

We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe for human habitation for millennia to come.

We at EcoRadio KC are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future!

This will be a great radio hour!  https://kkfi.org/listen/
