EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
On our December 21st show, host Richard Mabion, our own community activist, speaks with his friend Norman Anderson. Norm has over 35 years of environmental public health experience. He lives in Maine. He and Richard met at an NAACP conference in Pittsburgh. They are both involved in the Pittsburgh Platform, an endeavor intended to promote environmental health improvements through the lens of social and racial equity. While based in Pittsburgh, the Platform is intended to serve as a catalyst for such positive societal changes in other cities in the United States as well as internationally.
Richard will introduce Norm Anderson to our listeners. Norman is an environmental public health consultant. He is currently an environmental health advisor to the Heinz Endowments, non- profits, and governmental agencies. They have some great ideas they will share with our listeners!
