The Criminal Justice Task Force mission is to lobby the Missouri State Legislature for sentencing laws that are fair and basic human rights of those that are incarcerated. The Kansas City Chapter of Missourian’s For Alternatives to the Death Penalty will meet Tuesday, June 4th from 6:30 to 8pm at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, 4501 Walnut, KCMO. They will be discussing search for new director, a report from the state board meeting, the annual meeting later this month and more.

The KC Area Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children and Other Survivors of Homicide will hold their monthly meeting Friday June 7th , beginning at 7:30 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 2552 Gillham Road, KCMO. POMC meets to provide assistance through ongoing emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy and awareness to all survivors of homicide victims.
