Mallory Rusch and Christine Woody of Empower Missouri on What to Expect, What to Support and What to Engage with in Missouri

For our show on January 18, host Bev Livingston speaks with the NEW Executive Director, Mallory Rusch, and Christine Woody, Sr. Policy and Organizing Coordinator, of Empower Missouri (MO).  Empower MO works to secure basic human needs and equal justice for every person in MO   through coalition-building and advocacy so that MO residents all have food, shelter, and justice.

Host Bev Livingston will talk with Mallory and Christine about Empower MO’s mission and this year’s plans for social and criminal justice.  Listeners will learn their plans to insure fairness on issues facing lawmakers,  MO lawmakers returned to the Capitol in Jefferson City on January 6th with challenges posed by an ongoing pandemic that makes the Empower MO standing issues – housing, medical care and criminal justice among them – ripe for legislative action.

We voters are always interested in the actions of elected officials.  Tune in to hear Mallory Rusch and Christine Woody of Empower MO tell us what they are doing for us and how we can help reach their goals for 2021 and beyond.

We hope you will listen.

We will play the weekly calendar in the middle of our hour.
