PRESERVATION OF OUR ENVIRONMENT IS NOT A LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE CHALLENGE; IT’S COMMON SENSE

On EcoRadio KC for February 12th, please tune in and listen to host Richard Mabion speak with Zack Pistora, State Lobbyist for the Kansas Sierra Club.

The Kansas Legislature is in session and on the table are issues of vital importance to the protection of our ecology.  Zack will inform us of the latest from Topeka.  The presentation will include discussion of legislation to prohibit single plastic bag bans, confined animal feed operations (CAFO) legislation on manure disposal, prohibition of Homeowners Association (HOA) bans on rooftop solar, steps to protect the Ornate Box Turtle, and other current legislation.

The purpose of environmental law is to protect human health and to preserve the environment for present and future generations. During any legislative session in Congress or in a state, legislation is proposed that is not clearly labeled “environmental”.   Kansas is lucky to have a Lobbyist who represents Sierra Club members’ interest in having all laws act to ensure sustainable development.  In Kansas, we view legislation under the lens of the Earth’s microscope.

EcoRadio KC is glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future! This will be a great radio hour!

We support the work for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe for human habitation for millennia to come.

This will be a great radio hour!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can about the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”    Margaret Mead
