EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
Host Brent Ragsdale shares an “audio tour” of Project Living Proof, a demonstration house run by the Metropolitan Energy Center. David Albrecht, Program Coordinator with the MEC explains the many energy efficient features of this historic home located at 917 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd that was renovated in 2010 to showcase the benefits of building or retrofitting with energy efficiency in mind.
For the second half of the show, Brent is joined in the studio by Craig Wolfe of the Heartland Renewable Energy Society and Rob Jones of Green Cat Service, one of many local companies that provides energy audits and improvements, to talk through the process and possibilities to make our existing houses more efficient and comfortable.
