SABRENA MORGAN TELLS INSPIRING STORIES

Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality.  We hope you will listen.

For our show on January 29, 2024, host David Bell delivers his Justice Series Part 4.  He speaks with Sabrena Morgan, a Dream Fellowship Cohort with Dream.Org, about her experiences helping other post-incarcerated individuals with re-entering the world. Inmates get an outdate, not an end date. Does the sentence ever truly end for them?

Our nation has big problems and a lack of leaders to provide solutions. That’s why Dream.Org created the Dream Fellowship designed for budding activists who have a bold vision for change and who haven’t had a similar opportunity to gain the skills to bring it into being. The Dream Fellowship cohort represents a diverse group of people from across the country, working on issues as diverse as gun violence to reentry post-incarceration, substance use harm reduction, mental health stabilization, environmental justice, and immigration.

40% of Dream Fellows are formerly incarcerated, and an additional 15% are the loved ones of people who have been touched by the criminal-legal system. Dream Fellowship Cohorts are an intergenerational group devoted to seeding an idea for how they will bring progress, empowerment, and justice to our communities.

On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society.  Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
