EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
On our show for April 10th, host Terri Wilke has guests including Bob Grove, and just a few of the many involved with Earth Festival 23. EF23 is an Earth Day endeavor sponsored by Climate Action KC and this year the events will be outstanding.
Kansas City’s 2023 Earth Festival (EF23) is nine days of fairs, workshops, volunteer opportunities and activities throughout the metro area — both in-person and online. With warmer weather setting in, this is a great chance to get outside, learn about the earth and celebrate the planet we call home. All events are free and open to the public.
Planning your week is easy at the online Festival Kickoff where festival organizers will be talking about their events and the organizations behind them. You can chat one-on-one with event organizers or post your Q&A to the room. Get all your questions answered and find out when you want to be where.
The festival now includes over 25 events from groups like Carbon Footprint Eating, Citizens Climate Lobby KC, Compost Collective KC, Cultivate KC, Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council, Hera Community, KC Can Compost, EcoRadio KC, Kansas City Drawdown Society, Kansas City Restoration School, Kansas City Wellness Club, Metropolitan Energy Center, Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness, Missouri Organic Recycling, Platte Land Trust, Re.Use.Full, Renew Missouri Advocates, Resilient Activist, Sewing Labs, Suds Refillery, Temple Buddhist Center, United Nations Association of Greater Kansas City, Young Family Farm KC and more.
