SHOW SOME LOVE TO KKFI !

IT IS KKFI’s FUND DRIVE!!! We are asking you to support KKFI, YOUR Community Radio Station. We bring you music and vital information underserved or ignored by mainstream media.

KKFI is supported by our listeners who share our mission.  Consider becoming a Sustaining Member today. You can promise to give a little or a lot, on a monthly basis billed directly to your credit or debit card.  If you can give as little as $10 monthly, we will thank you with a blazing new KKFI T-shirt that shows the community you are a member of our COMMUNITY.

Today, we will play a radio production created by the University of Kansas Environmental Studies 2024 Capstone group.  In the first part, you will hear from Eddie Church and Maggie Grandsire discuss American consumerism.  They will ask if we are all aware of planned obsolescence, and advertising telling us we need more or that we will be improved by having more.  In the second part of our program, 2024 Capstone students Evren DeQuincy and Madison Wiley will talk about the environmental impacts of our consumption habits. Finally, 2024 Capstone students Callie Roberts and Trevor Tobin-Boyd will examine what each of us can do to improve the situation and become a more conscious consumer.  The Capstone students present their studies in a way that might result in changes to our interaction with this planet.  Please stay tuned in.  The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

EcoRadio KC is glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future! This will be a great radio hour!

We support the work for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe for human habitation for millennia to come.

This will be a great radio hour!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can about the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”    Margaret Mead
