Summer Night (from Suspense)

This week Kansas City Actors Radio Theatre returns to the Suspense Radio Series with “Summer Night” airing this Friday on KKFI 90.1 FM.

Aired July 15th, 1948 “Summer Night” tells about a small town with The Lipstick Killer on the loose. Anna reaches out to her old friend Helen who she hasn’t spoken to in four years. Anna wants Helen to come over because she doesn’t feel safe in her own home, the Lipstick Killer has struck twice already, and she’s worried she could be next.

Helen finds the request strange, but remembers that Anna was always a bit strange. Soon Helen will find out how strange Anna really is.

“Summer Night” is written by Robert L. Richards adapted from a short story by Ray Bradbury. Featuring Jessica Andrews, Hannah Barfoot, Vanessa Davis, and Trevor French. Directed and hosted by John Rensenhouse. Sound Design by Sam Toskin.
