The Tenth Voice (LGBTQIA)
The Tenth Voice is the Kansas City area's only weekly broadcast created by and for LGBTQIA+ people in our community in the Greater Kansas City area and around the world online. Listeners can tune in each Saturday at 1:00 PM. Each week our team of hosts and producers present interviews, information, music, news and features especially important to Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexuals, Transgender & Nonbinary people, Queer, Intersex, Asexual & Aromantic people and Allied collective communities. Since 1989, The Tenth Voice radio show has documented and informed the LGBTQIA+ Kansas City Community.
It is the 3rd Saturday of the month and time again for Show People with Michael Grayman-Parkhurst! This week, Michael is interviewing Tim Bair, who is the Producing Artistic Director of Theatre in the Park, the largest outdoor community theatre in the country. Theatre in the Park is a return to Tim’s roots having started his career as a performer there and later as a choreographer. Leaving Kansas for New York, Tim performed in the 42nd Street European Tour and toured with Jodi Benson in My One and Only. He has served as Artistic Director at both the Millbrook Playhouse in Millbrook, Pennsylvania and The American Musical Theatre of San Jose. Moving back to Kansas in 2010, Tim, his husband Alan and his daughter Sophie live in Overland Park, KS.
