Ben Postlethwait, a former Evergy employee, has been Kansas State Director since June of 2023.   He has two decades of experience in the electric utility industry and a background in biology.

As State Director, Ben will lead a team of experts and support staff focused on lasting and large-scale land, water and biodiversity conservation statewide. He would like to ensure we and our children have the opportunity to experience and understand Kansas’s great natural resources.

Postlethwait joins the team as it works toward its new five-year strategic plan. He and his staff will work to protect high-priority prairies and streams, promote regenerative agricultural practices, advance renewable energy development while protecting ecologically sensitive areas, and engage partners, supporters and others in the work.

EcoRadio KC supports the work for a future in which humans flourish as members of a thriving ecosphere. We are all in this together and it will take all of us to make the world safe for human habitation for millennia to come.

We are glad to encourage awareness and protection of our world.  Our goal is to ensure our listeners are aware of how we can create a sustainable present for a sustainable future!

This will be a great radio hour!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can about the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”    Margaret Mead
