EcoRadio KC is a magazine show, including live segments, prerecorded stories, and interviews. The weekly explores our interdependence with the rest of the world, showing the connections between the ways we choose to live and the health of the whole community of life.
On EcoRadio KC for February 19th, please tune in and listen as host Terri Wilke will speak with Carl Stafford, Founder/Visionary of My Region Wins! Born and raised on the west side of Kansas City’s 5th District, Carl has worked in and around the Kansas City metro, particularly with the youth, helping hundreds of children unlock their physical, intellectual, and creative potentials in a variety of capacities.
Carl Stafford received bachelor’s degree in multimedia arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2006. His original goal for attending art school was to write movie scripts and be a director, however, his creative muse didn’t find this path satisfactory. The ‘new found Artist within’ was drawn to serving rather than ‘entertaining’ the masses.
Carl Stafford has an understanding that the need for structural change that starts within the most basic communities: the neighborhoods, is most important.
Since its founding, MY REGION WINS! (MRW!) has dedicated itself to empowering the neighborhoods of Kansas City towards self-sufficiency, natural stewardship, with grassroots pushes for socioeconomic change. The vision for Kansas City, Missouri is one that works for all, and emphasizes artistic advancement and environmental consciousness. The mission to have a sustainable cultural future for Kansas City and the world.
