This episode features a discussion with Andrew Bergerson and Carrie Stevens with Our Revolution. Bergerson is President of Our Revolution – Kansas City, Missouri. Stevens is Executive Director of Our Revolution – Kansas, (which also has a Facebook page). Our Revolution – Kansas is working to build county chapters throughout the state. Both organizations are affiliated with the national “Our Revolution” organization, which spun out of Senator Bernie Sanders’s 2016 presidential campaign to organize to promote other progressive candidates and promote progressive issues more generally. The two organizations started as one but split as the started actually getting active to promote policy proposals and candidates for state and local governments; members in Missouri didn’t need to hear about actions in Kansas and vice versa.
