This week’s producer/host, Maria Vasquez Boyd welcomes director Logan Black, director Sarah Crawford, also actor, singer, and songwriter Shelley Verden.

Director Logan Black talks about the production, Backwards Forwards Back.
Backwards Forwards Back is a play about a soldier who returns from Afghanistan and is struggling with PTSD. They seek a new treatment using VR – virtual reality therapy. The question is whether VR therapy can recalibrate soldiers’ brains and help them cope. The author, Jacqueline Goldfinger, did a lot of research about new VR therapies — it helps put veterans back into the traumatic incident but helps them feel in control again.
The play is a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere developed with support from the Sloan Foundation and Operation Warrior Resolution.
