Mary McCawley proudly announces the grand opening of the Digital Dreams Gallery, a pioneering venture as Kansas City’s first digital art gallery, nestled in the heart of the Crossroads Art District at 2018 Main St. With its inaugural exhibition, “Virtual Landscapes: The New Wilderness,” the gallery sets a new benchmark for digital art and technology, opening on April 5th. This event represents a pivotal moment for both the digital art community in Kansas City and the broader landscape of digital creativity.
About the Exhibition: “Virtual Landscapes: The New Wilderness” invites us into a realm where digital environments reshape our understanding of space, identity, and reality. This part of the ‘Digital Identities’ series features eight visionary artists who utilize digital technologies, augmented reality, and 3D modeling to craft immersive new worlds.
“Each piece is a gateway to realms unbound by the physical, urging us to contemplate our place in a world increasingly defined by digital landscapes,” McCawley states. “This exhibition is more than a collection of art; it’s a journey into what it means to exist within and alongside the digital.”
Partnerships That Propel Vision: In an innovative collaboration, Blackdove Video Art, Transient Labs, and the Arbitrum Foundation come together to herald a new era of digital art in the Midwest. “Our mission is to make digital art accessible to the masses and provide the art community with a platform to promote their creativity and innovation,” says Chris Ostoich, COO at Transient Labs. “The partnership with Digital Dreams Gallery is a step towards bridging the digital and real worlds, setting a new standard for the integration of digital creativity and blockchain technology.”
